A 5-week art course
A friendly creative course exploring the stunning interiors and gardens of West Horsley Place.
Join artist Jane Allison and enjoy filling a sketchbook with drawings and paintings inspired by the beautiful manor house, gardens, and grounds.
Explore different techniques and materials as you create a visual diary of your time in this unique historic setting. Sessions will take place in various locations depending on the weather, including the manor, gardens, barn, and wider estate.
Jane is an acclaimed portrait and landscape painter, with work in major national collections and experience painting everyone from the Duchess of Cornwall to WWI veteran Henry Allingham.
Practical Information
Please bring with you: Your own A5 watercolour sketchbook and basic drawing materials eg. a pencil and a rubber. There will be a selection of other art materials available for people to experiment with, but students will also be welcome to bring their own if they have them.
Please dress for the weather and you may wish to bring a foldable chair for sitting in the gardens.
