Handcrafted Bowls
A Two-Part Pottery Workshop
Create your own unique decorative bowl in this workshop that's perfect for beginners or those with some experience.
Create your own unique decorative bowl in this two-part workshop, perfect for beginners or those with some experience. Set in our stunning Tudor kitchen and led by ceramicist Shelley Bock, you'll learn the slab-building technique through step-by-step demonstrations.
In the first session, use moulds and clay to form your bowl, then explore surface decoration with carving, sgraffito, and texture printing using leaves, lace, buttons, or woodblocks.
In the second session, you'll choose coloured glazes to dip or paint your bowl, readying it for its final firing to become glossy and watertight.
