It takes approximately 25 minutes to walk the one mile from Horsley Train Station to West Horsley Place. It is a lovely walk through the estate, but you will need footwear suitable for wet, muddy or uneven ground. If you follow the bridleway it will bring you into our car park and welcome area.
There is a cycle rack in our car park. When cycling on the estate please keep to the bridleways.
Horsley station is one mile away, with frequent trains from London Waterloo (49 minute journey), Vauxhall, Clapham Junction and Guildford (14 minute journey). Woking station is 8 miles away, with frequent, fast trains to and from London.
The 479 Guildford-Bookham-Leatherhead-Epsom service operates roughly hourly. The nearest stop is East Horsley, Duke of Wellington. It takes approximately 7 minutes to walk from there, the entrance to West Horsley Place is on the right before you reach St. Mary's Church. Walk down the drive to reach the Welcome Area next to the Barn.
West Horsley Place is off the A246 between Guildford and Leatherhead. We are 10 minutes' drive from the A3/M25 intersection. Leave the A3 at junction 10. If arriving by car you will enter via our main gates, marked by two black West Horsley Place signs, and you can park for free in our visitor car park. Please be aware when you exit that the farm drive is two-way.

The Manor House and formal gardens at West Horsley Place are only open for events. Please look at our events calendar to discover the upcoming open days and guided tours.
Car parking is available and free for all visitors. For small events, like workshops of guided tours, you are likely to find carparking on the tarmac surface. At large events, like Open Days and festivals, you may be directed by a carpark steward to overflow parking in our fields.
We have several accessible bays on the tarmac available. Please look at our Access page for more information.
Vehicles larger than a standard size car must use our deliveries entrance to access the carpark. Please call us in advance if you are planning to bring a very large vehicle, such as a motorhome, onto site.
We currently do not have electric car charging points in our carpark.
You’re very welcome to bring a picnic to enjoy during your visit. You can use the tables by the barn or find a peaceful spot in the estate grounds. Please help us care for this special place by using the bins provided or better still, take your rubbish home with you. Open fires and barbecues are not permitted anywhere on the estate.
Dogs are very welcome on the estate and in the barn courtyard. They are also welcome at some of our larger events like open days and festivals. Please take a look at the specific event pages for more information. Only Assistance dogs may enter the house and walled gardens. A water bowl is available in Place Farm Courtyard.
