A Workshop in Oils
Learning to paint charming British birds in oils with professional artist and tutor Jo Shepherd.
Start with a demo and intro to oil painting, then create your own small bird portraits using reference photos. Explore composition, colour mixing, mark-making, and tonal values to watch your bird come to life.
Jo is an experienced artist and tutor working primarily in oils from her studio in Hampshire. Her nature-inspired pieces have featured in the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and on BBC News.
Practical information
All materials will be provided but feel free to bring your own paints and brushes if you wish.
Oil paint can get everywhere so please wear old clothes and/or and apron
Tea/Coffee included
Suitable for ages 16+ (under 18s must be accompanied)
