The Wedding of Nanelle & Kasun

14 Oct, 2025

Artist Nanelle married Kasun at West Horsley Place August 2025.

It was a delight to welcome to West Horsley Place the family and friends of Nanelle and Kasun to celebrate their love in the summer of 2025. Their wedding was full of colour, beauty and stunning handmade art.

They used the historic Manor House for drinks and the Walled Gardens for the ceremony and reception. With a buffet gazing table in the day and a sit down evening meal with plenty of dancing!

As an artist, the bride brought her own creative flair to her celebrations, painting everything from her invitations to the table planners. We are delighted to share two pictures of West Horsley Place made by her.

The bride said:

"West Horsley Place was the most perfect setting for our wedding this Summer. From the beginning we were so struck by its picture perfect façade and charming gardens. The manor house is full of character and its setting so full of sublime and wild beauty that feel both grand and deeply homey. On our wedding day, that rare balance created the most magical and whimsical atmosphere, and our guests were enchanted. We couldn’t imagine a more beautiful place to begin our married life. Aside from all this, it is the team behind West Horsley Place that made the process of wedding planning such a breeze for us. Carolyn Farrell is such a dream to work with. There is a real relaxed atmosphere to them which makes you feel less anxious and very trusting that they'd look after you on your day. The fact that our contributions would go towards the restoration of a grade I listed building was also meaningful to me as an architect. West Horsley Place will now and forever hold a special place in my husband and my lives. What's truly remarkable is that I know our guests are now equally committed to this remarkable venue and speak of organising visits etc."

Wishing them a wonderful life together from everyone at West Horsley Place.
