Sensory storytelling sessions
Tots Tales is a fun and engaging play session designed for preschool children.
Through hands-on activities, storytelling, and interactive play, little ones can explore history in a way that sparks curiosity and creativity. Each session features a new tale inspired by the estate’s rich heritage, combined with experiences that encourage exploration, movement, and discovery.
After the session, families are welcome to continue their visit by exploring the beautiful gardens or relaxing in the café. Soft mats and toys will be available.

Each session is 10 - 10:45am
Wed 3 Sep - Explore the gardens with Daisy the dog and find her friends.
Wed 10 Sep - Discover the story of Henry VIIIs visit with salt dough sensory play.
Wed 17 Sep - Enjoy magical party for Elizabeth I.
Wed 24 Sep - Daisy the dog gets up to mischief in the Manor House.
Wed 1 Oct - Explore the house with Anthony the monkey and find his picture on ceiling.
Wed 8 Oct - Listen to your favourite stories in the library.
Wed 15 Oct - Discover day in the life of a King or Queen and their servants through storytelling.
Wed 22 Oct - Pumpkin sensory play.
