Dance the new year's blues away
Join professional dance Maxine of SWINGDYHOP for a joyous evening of swing dance and community. Just as we would have done in the 1940s, for one night we take to the dance floor for some rollicking revelry.
Maxine will be teaching swing dance basics, followed by a short, easy to follow, routine. No partner or experience is necessary. This is an all experience class, meaning you can come and join in if you have never danced before. There will be a short section at the end where social dancing will be available for the last 20 minutes, if you have danced before and would like to partner dance. If not, it's the perfect 20 minute close to the class to show off all you have learnt.
MAXINE
Maxine has been dancing Lindy Hop and Swing since 1998. Hooked since seeing a group. Maxine both performs and teaches Lindy Hop and Swing and wants to inspire others to take up this infectious dance too. Particularly the next generation. Maxine has been lucky enough to enjoy dancing on set in films like A United Kingdom and for various media and ad campaigns.
