Signs of Spring
A family lantern making workshop
Welcome the returning light of spring with this joyful family workshop!
In this hands-on, delightfully messy session, children and their accompanying adults will create colourful spring lanterns using natural willow and tissue paper. Taking place in February, the workshop celebrates the days slowly growing longer and cheers on the flowers that will soon begin to bloom.
Families will enjoy working side by side, experimenting with materials, and embracing the fun of making together. The focus is on creativity, shared time, and enjoying the process rather than perfection.
Leave with a bright, handmade lantern and warm memories of a playful, creative experience—perfect for welcoming the first signs of spring.
This workshop is with our very own Jo Ellison, experienced Community Artist with experience making lanterns of all shapes and sizes for lantern parades in East London.
