Kokedama

A Workshop

Join Lisa Duncan for a hands-on Kokedama workshop at the beautiful West Horsley Place, where you’ll discover the Japanese art of creating moss ball plants.

Drawing on her Japanese heritage and connection to Japanese culture, Lisa will guide you step-by-step through the process of shaping the soil, wrapping the roots, applying moss and securing your plants using traditional Japanese techniques. During the workshop, you’ll create three kokedama plants to take home, perfect for displaying in your own home or giving as unique, handmade Christmas gifts. You’ll also learn how to care for your kokedama to keep them healthy and thriving.

To complement the workshop, there will be an opportunity to enjoy and explore a selection of Japanese teas, adding to the peaceful and cultural experience.

Set within the beautiful surroundings of the historic manor house dressed for Christmas, this is a lovely opportunity to slow down, connect with nature and experience a beautiful piece of Japanese culture. All materials are provided, so simply bring your curiosity and a sense of calm.
