Artist Walk and Talk with Cartiona Robertson
Join Catriona Robertson for a guided walk and talk through the landscape that inspired her new sculptural commission at West Horsley Place.
Beginning with a walk through the site, participants will visit the doorway and architectural facade that sparked the work’s development, uncovering the layered histories embedded in the building and its surrounding landscape. Along the route, Catriona will share insights into her research and making process, reflecting on ideas of deep time, ecological change and the shifting relationship between nature and human-made environments.
The walk concludes at the sculpture itself, where participants will have the opportunity to experience the work up close and take part in a Q&A with the artist.
Access Information
The walk will be approximately 2km including a seated stop. Please note that this walk is not suitable for people using wheelchairs or buggies. You’ll need a moderate level of fitness and be able to cope with walking on uneven ground. For more information about access, visit our access page.
