BBC Ghosts may have finished filming, but it will always remain a special part of life here at West Horsley Place. We love welcoming fans through our doors for guided tours, open days, events — and even private celebrations!
This summer, Laura chose the Manor House as the setting for her birthday party, where 100 of her friends and family enjoyed exclusive BBC Ghosts tours and a thrilling murder mystery experience. We’re delighted to share some of the wonderful photos from her celebration with you.
"I chose West Horsley Place for my celebration due to the beautiful stone hall, the gardens and its connection with one of my and my family's favourite television shows. We organised a "Ghosts" themed day with decorations to match. In the afternoon Elisa, one of the volunteers, gave Filming Tours to my guests and we arranged a murder mystery set-up in various rooms of the house, all the while the children were kept entertained in the Morning Room and my guests wandered between the rooms and the gardens solving clues, chatting and enjoying the atmosphere. The venue was perfect for me and the guests have told me the same, with the house and gardens making for a relaxed day. Everyone was comfortable, which was what I was aiming for."
