West Horsley Place is home to many magnificent and ancient trees. These  have witnessed centuries of historical events unfolding and are home to precious ecosystems.

Join children's author, Lucy Reynolds, to immerse yourself in the value and wonder of veteran trees, exploring those that grow at West Horsley Place.

Then delve into a day of poetic and creative writing to bring these experiences to life and create your very own beautiful tree poetry. You will also get creative, decorating your tree poem using inspiration and finds from nature and having the chance to work on a design for the Surrey-wide children’s competition taking place this summer to create the endpapers for a new children’s book celebrating the thousand year old yew trees at Newlands Corner.
