You will also get creative, decorating your tree poem using inspiration and finds from nature and having the chance to work on a design for the Surrey-wide children’s competition taking place this summer to create the endpapers for a new children’s book celebrating the thousand year old yew trees at Newlands Corner. Lucy Reynolds With a PhD in Poetry and a deep-rooted care for conservation and nature, Lucy writes beautiful, melodic books for little explorers, encouraging children to pause, notice and care about the natural world around them.Lucy grew up on a small farm in Somerset where she fostered her love of all things wild roaming free in the great outdoors. She is a children’s author and co-director of the Stepping Into Stories Kids’ Lit Fest, London.
